MMOexp Diablo 4: Paladin passively regenerates hundreds of life every second
Diablo 4's endgame meta continues to evolve, but one build has pushed beyond expectations and into truly absurd territory. The Judgment Paladin is now officially one of the highest DPS builds ever seen in the game, capable of clearing Pit 133 comfortably and already knocking on the door of Pit 135 and beyond. With recent updates to Diablo 4 Gold skills, gear, Paragon boards, and one especially game-breaking potion interaction, this version of Judgment Paladin is hitting for quadrillions of damage per hit-numbers that sound fake until you see them flying across your screen.
This guide breaks down every major change, why they work, and how to replicate this monster for yourself.
The Core Breakthrough: Potion Capacity and the Imbue Glyph
The single biggest damage increase comes from a deceptively simple change: potion capacity on pants.
With potion capacity rolls, the Paladin now carries 10 healing potions instead of the standard amount. When combined with the Imbue glyph, every missing potion grants 5% multiplicative damage. That means:
10 missing potions
5% damage per potion
50% multiplicative damage bonus at all times
The key is simple but unintuitive: spam your potions constantly.
The goal is not healing efficiency, but to remain at zero or near-zero potion count as often as possible. Even non-GA potion capacity pants are worth using-this interaction alone adds more damage than many entire gear slots combined.
Dropping Herald of Zakarum for More Damage
Another major shift is removing Herald of Zakarum, which had long been considered mandatory. While Zakarum offers solid toughness and decent damage, it simply cannot compete with the new scaling options now available.
Instead, the build now runs:
A normal shield with 35% damage reduction
The Aspect of Ascension, which provides over 2.2x damage while in Arbiter/Avatar form
Because the build stays in Arbiter form nearly permanently, this aspect is effectively always active. The result is a massive DPS gain that outpaces Zakarum even before considering other synergies.
To compensate for the lost block chance from Zakarum, Paragon points are reallocated into the Shieldbearer board, allowing the build to maintain 100% block chance with minimal sacrifice.
Staying Alive While Standing Still
Despite the astronomical damage output, this version of Judgment Paladin is also shockingly tanky.
The key defensive change is switching to Consecration in the skill tree. This provides:
Massive healing over time
Extra multiplicative bonuses
The ability to stand inside enemy pools without disengaging
The build also stacks:
Life per second on pants
Longevity passive (40% increased healing received)
With around 2,000 life per second, boosted further by Longevity, the Paladin passively regenerates hundreds of life every second. This allows you to buy Diablo IV Gold stay in melee range, continuously apply Arbiter Winged Strikes, and maintain Judgment uptime without constantly repositioning.
The result is a playstyle where you outheal most incoming damage, even in high Pit tiers.
