U4GM GTA 5 Money Tips: Lester Stock Market Guide
GTA 5's stock market is one of those systems loads of players ignore at first, then kick themselves for later. If you play it right, Lester's assassination jobs can turn story-mode cash into a ridiculous fortune, even enough to buy the toys most players only mess with after using GTA V Accounts or replaying the campaign with a better plan. The trick isn't complicated, but timing matters. Don't rush every Lester mission the moment it appears. Do the one you must do for the story, then leave the rest alone until the main campaign is done and all three characters have a fat wallet.
Why Lester's missions matter so much
Each assassination hits a company, and in GTA 5 that usually means a rival company benefits. That's where the money is. Before a target is killed, you buy the right stock with Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. After the mission, you watch the return percentage and sell when it gets close to the expected peak. Then, for some missions, you move the money into the damaged rival and wait for it to recover. It feels a bit cheeky, sure, but the game is built for it. The important bit is patience. Sleeping to pass time helps, but check the market often because some peaks don't hang around for long.
The simple investment path
For the Hotel Assassination, buy Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ before the job, then sell around a 50 percent gain. After that, Bilkinton on LCN can bounce back well if you give it about a day or so. For the Multi Target Assassination, Debonaire is the pre-mission pick, usually selling somewhere around 60 to 90 percent. Redwood comes after, and this is one of the big ones, often climbing several hundred percent after enough in-game days. For the Vice Assassination, Fruit on BAWSAQ goes first, then Facade after the hit. For the Bus Assassination, skip the pre-buy and invest in Vapid after the mission. The Construction Assassination is cleaner: buy Gold Coast before starting and sell when the return is strong, usually near 80 percent.
Don't get greedy with the peak
People lose money here because they try to squeeze out one more percent. Don't. If a stock is close to the target return, take the win and move on. BAWSAQ stocks can jump fast and start falling within a day, while LCN stocks tend to move more slowly. A smart habit is to make a fresh manual save before each mission and again before waiting for the rebound. That way, if you sleep too long or miss the high point, you're not stuck watching millions disappear. It's not glamorous, but saving often is probably the best financial advice in Los Santos.
What to do after the big payday
Once Lester's jobs are done, you'll have more cash than you'll reasonably need. You can keep playing the LCN market by watching rival companies like Redwood and Debonaire, FlyUS and AirEmu, or eCola and Raine, but those moves aren't guaranteed like the assassination setups. Some players prefer buying property, businesses, cars, aircraft, and weapons instead. If you'd rather skip the slow build on another run, plenty of players look for ways to buy cheap GTA V Accounts while still using these stock tricks to understand how the game's money system works. Just don't throw every dollar into one random stock and walk away for a week.
