IO Interactive plans to lean on its own strengths while building a completely different power fantasy. “We are leaning a lot on what IOI does best,” Poulsen noted, though the team is consciously moving away from cold efficiency toward heroism. The game is scheduled for release sometime in 2026, and the studio is clearly aiming for a fresh, personal take on the iconic secret agent—one that explores what drives him, what he risks, and what it truly means to be the hero.
